3pm of 3rd of April, we get to enter the Multimedia Lab which is a total
'Apple Farm'. Equipped with 12 Mac desktop, Multimedia Lab was just opened months ago.
Thanks to our lecturer, Dr. Azrina, we get to put our fingers onto those Mac. Our purpose that day was to experience the Mac desktop and get to know the difference between Windows and Mac.
Indeed, the different isn't apply only to the number of alphabet at the names but also internal as well as external. First speaking of the display, the Mac comes with
retina display.
Text is pixel-free. Images pop. Icon details are more enhanced ! Although with just 512MB of graphic card, it promise a cutting-edge display.
Notice the difference!
Something intriguing about Mac is that, the functionality of the computer is totally different from Windows, example: command+shift+Q for log out ....
more can be found here keyboard shortcuts.
Personally if questioning about changing to Mac user, hmm i would say no after a deep thoughts. First and foremost, i am already get used to Windows, and it has been fine and very good in serving me. I don't feel the need to learn the new shortcuts and doing thing in a whole different way. Plus, the application that i have used, some of them aren't available in Mac. Admittedly that the display is fantastic, but Windows isn't losing much either.
Of course that is just a personal point of view.
